The Church History Museum offers Pre-Trek Tours! Before heading out on the handcart trail with your ward or stake group, schedule a visit to the Church History Museum to learn about the handcart pioneers - about their experiences in gathering to Zion and what motivated them to make the great sacrifices required of them.
Pre-Trek tours are offered to help Latter-day Saint youth groups and their leaders prepare for their trek experience. The tours last about one hour and highlight handcart-related artifacts, events that occurred on the trail, and personal stories of handcart pioneers.
